Axie Infinity is expanding access to Project T, its new social game, to anyone who owns at least five axies. In addition to expanding access, Axie Infinity has also announced that AXP, the game’s experience points token, is now live in Project T. This means that players can now earn AXP by performing a variety of activities in the game, such as training in the Dojo and catching butterflies. AXP can then be used to ascend Axies and prepare them for part evolution.
What is Project T?
Project T is a new social game in the Axie Infinity metaverse. It is still in its early stages of development, but it offers players a variety of activities to enjoy, such as interacting with their axies, playing minigames, and socializing with other players. Project T is still in early development, but Sky Mavis has stated that they plan to integrate AXP with Project T in the future, allowing players to use AXP to ascend their axies and prepare them for part evolution.

The devs mentioned that the AXP is an important part of the vertical progression system in Axie Infinity. Traditional games attract players through gameplay and immersion but Web3 games have the potential to introduce new mechanics such as a unique vertical progression element like AXP.
Players can now earn up to 1000 AXP per Axie each day in Project T. Previously, AXP could only be earned by playing the Origins battle game or the Sky Smash minigame.
There are a variety of ways to earn AXP in Project T. A straightforward way is by completing quests and challenges. Becoming an expert butterfly hunter can net players tons of AXP as well. Players can earn up to 100 AXP by catching an endangered butterfly and can be further multiplied by 2 when an event is live. Playing minigames, such as Axie Showdown is also another way of earning AXP.
Axie Showdown

Axie Showdown is a new minigame in Project T where players can earn AXP by battling each other with dice. The objective of Axie Showdown is to earn twenty Victory Points or eliminate all of your opponents. Standing on the tree stump in the center of the arena or rolling combinations of three consecutive numbers are two ways to accomplish this. An Axie reaching 0 hp means that they have lost the match.
Final Thoughts
Axies can be made into much more than just virtual pets by providing enjoyable means for players of all skill levels to acquire and enhance their Axies’ power, value, and style. AXP introduces a system where players infuse them with their own time and effort into making them more personalized.
