MARCH 13, 2022 – Lost Socks, a New Zealand based NFT project is launching their sock brand Lost Socks simultaneously in real life and in the Metaverse. Lost Sock NFTs are now available for minting.
Have you ever wondered where your lost sock went? Don’t you worry. The Lost Sock company is focused on finding your lost socks. They say that your lost socks from the real world can now be found in the Metaverse.
The project was founded by Female co-founder and artist – Ashley Thomas and co-founder Anthony Baxter from New Zealand. They played with the idea for 4 years of starting a IRL (in real life) sock company. As NFTs came along they decided to create their brand in the Metaverse first before launching their real life sock shop.
“We wanted to create an NFT project that everyday people could relate to and enjoy. We wanted to create a brand that lasts and ultimately becomes a household brand name. The crossover of the metaverse characters and stories with our IRL sock store allows us to onboard more people into our brand, while creating amazing products that people love and need, while making a positive impact on the world.”
The Lost Sock collection consists of 5,000 limited edition hand-drawn characters, all with unique looks. All socks were drawn by artist and founder Ashley Thomas. The looks are made unique with over 150+ possible traits, including backgrounds, sock hands, eyewear, accessories and much more.
Phase 1: Minting and Charity
The mint price is set at 0.069 ETH.

Lost Socks will donate $15’000 of the money generated in the NFT sale to their selected children’s charities (Shoesthatfit & Kidscan).
“We believe all children deserve a pair of socks, shoes, and opportunity in the world. We call this our Sock 4 Sock initiative, and we look forward to growing our impact with future donations from our IRL product sales and any future mints.” said the Lost Socks team.
Both left and right socks are being minted, with the left being rarer and known as ‘enlightened’ socks. Out of the limited-run, one in five will be left socks.
“The Lefties are a humble, accepting, and patient tribe of Lost Socks blessed by the Laundry God and offered sanctuary in Sock World. The Laundry God smiled upon the Lefties and through the Great Darning, they were granted Enlightened Socks status. These socks are rare and hold more power in the Sock World.”
Phase 2: Sockworld in Sandbox
Lost Socks has partnered with the top metaverse agency MyReality to launch Sockworld on The Sandbox.
Each Sock minted will also generate a $THREAD token and will allow you to soon mint a free Sock VX NFT that is expected to have a used case in the Sockworld.
